ft. worth.
we woke up [ok, literally rolled out of bed] & hit the road for our 3 hour drive to ft. worth.
we arrived at my friend’s apartment and went out for italian food at taverna.
& since i’m pretty sure we have rocks in our head, my friend hosted a pregame at his apartment.
while we didn’t last very long at the actual bar (exhaustion plus dreading the 630am wake up*), we still managed to pull off another night out.
*630am because 3 out of the 5 of us were going to cotton bowl to watch the psu v. houston game at the ticketcity bowl. we were tagging along to tailgate.

My friend who we were visiting in TX decided it would be hilarious/amazing to have a white trash wedding bar tour. As in, there was a “bride,” “groom,” & a wedding party.
So, he gathered all his friends & we had a wedding….

…literally.
I can’t imagine what everyone thought while we were out. We seriously looked like a wedding party.

There was cake & transportation [who knew it was totally normal & legal to ride in a back of a truck in TX!?] Funny story, actually…a car pulled up & asked if they could take a picture of us because her friend in the car was from California. The funny part was that all of us in the back of the truck were not born, nor raised, in Texas.

The respective wedding parties. [yes, the boy on the left is wearing a blue garter on his arm]

Beeritas & line dancing.

Rock star cowboys & tattoos.

Overall, pretty epic night in Ft. Worth.

Bright & early we headed to the airport…only to find we don’t actually have a seat on our flight. [insert dramatic texts to our friend & not so nice eye rolls to the US Airways staff]
But then, as they’re calling zones, they ask us to come up & get our tickets…IN FIRST CLASS.

Warm towels, blankets, pillows & an amazing lunch later…we land in Ft. Worth, Texas!

First up on our agenda is Babe’s Chicken in Arlington, TX. The chicken was so good & it comes with all of the “fixins.” Needless to say, we were stuffed afterwards.
We drove past the Cowboys stadium [boo!] & made our way over to Cavender’s to get us some real cowboy boots & hats!

The boots are NOT cheap and I almost decided to totally give up on trying until I realized I could totally fit into kids boots [for half the price!].

Continuing with our touristy day, we made a quick stop at the Ft. Worth Stock Yards. I was there a few years ago and actually got to see a rodeo show [totally recommend it!]. But, this visit was just for fun to get out and see the town for a bit.
