this weekend we went ice skating.
well, i attempted to ice skate. i have never been very good at it, in fact, i’m actually quite terrible.
this weekend proved no different. with some help from some friends i managed to make it around the rink a few times (& once flat on my back). but otherwise, the wall was my best friend.
the view was amazing - right on the river over looking the ben franklin bridge. i haven’t been to the rink since high school so it was nice to get out there (on a 50 degree night!) and check out the view.
but honestly, i’m okay with staying off the ice for another few years.

i use to go in high school all the time. the view is beautiful & they serve hot chocolate!
and all of that is awesome because… i can’t ice skate. well, i can, i just need to be holding on to the ledge for dear life the entire way around.
growing up i used to rollerblade like it was no one’s business at all of those awesome birthday parties (what up, villanova skating center!). i mean, i had a monogramed carrier for my rollerblades.
but ice skating? never got the hang of it. yet for some reason i really want to bundle up and head down to the rink this year.
however, you’ll probably find me sitting by the heaters with hot chocolate in hand playing photographer for the evening.
